becoming a shepherdess

I've always had a deep love for animals.  So, it wasn't surprising to me nor anyone else, that I went into the field of animal medicine.  However, I didn't picture me as a shepherdess, a sheep owner.   

When I made the decision to be a stay at home mom, I began to stumble into different realms.  Besides making the choice to homeschool our children, I gradually took on the role of managing our vineyard. Then, I took on animal projects in the form of rehabilitation and fostering.  I got a wild hair and started a book club (still going strong since 2011!), took in some chickens, then ducks, AND THEN....I found myself wanting sheep.

I'm still enjoying this wild, crazy, happy, fun journey.  I continue to find pleasures in the sheep world while keeping things simple and....small.
